  1. Brilliant article. I would categorize myself as a typical American parent. However, I was raised like the French. I have an almost 3 year old and a 5 month old and a part of me feels as though the 5 month old is easier because I don't have to deal with discipline! Anyway, I have been following your blog for some time and love it. I think you're an excellent writer and I truly enjoy your stories.

    1. How worldly are you! Yes, discipline seems to be the tricky part. I'm not sure my son understands it yet when I try to discipline him. Every time I say no or try to prevent an action he starts laughing. Let's hope one of us gets better at this.
